Less
hectic than the Costa del Sol and with warmer winters than
the Costa Brava, the Costa Blanca (The
White Coast) occupies a prime stretch of Spain’s
Metiterranean costline running along the province of Alicante.
It can be devided into two clearly distinct areas of scenery:
to the North, a wall of mountains closely paralell to the
sea, dropping away to form sheer cliffs and secluded pepple
coves and to the South, a vast plain of sands, dunes, plam
groves and saltpan fringed beaches. The Costa Blanca enjoys
a perfect Mediterranean climate with daytime temperatures
averaging 20 degrees in the winter.
Of
particular note is the 20 km coast of Denia, with its contrasting
orange cliffs, sandy beaches and hidden coves. 3 golf courses
and a number of different sport facilities are within easy
access. From the harbour of Denia you will be in Ibiza
or Mallorca in less than 5 hours. Valencia and Alicante,
with their international airports, are only 100 km away.
Denia is a cosmopolitan town all year round and offers
a variety of lovely cafes, excellent restaurants and several
boutiques. The town has a resident population of approximately
33,000 inhabitants. Although during the summer months many
more people, of all nationalities, come to enjoy this sunny
area with its beautiful beaches and harbour.
The
Resort La Sella with its 18 hole golf course is to be
found only 10 min away from the town centre of Denia.
It is a beautiful and quiet residential area which offers
a very high standard of living within its unique surrounding.
La Sella has an infrastructure that is adjusted to all
wishes; green zones, tennis courts, riding schoo,l restaurants,
supermarket and stunning views to the Mediterranean Sea,
situated next to the mountain Montgo and the exclusive
hotel Marriott La Sella Golf Resort & Spa.
